Just as a painting stimulates your imagination and can take you to another world full of colors, feelings and emotions. So a piece of music can take you to other times, music has it in it to play with your feelings and emotions. From compelling drama to exuberant joy, a single piece of music can contain it all and without the need for any words.

In my arrangements, I try to bring a piece of music back to the point where the perfect balance is created between the purity of the music and the richness of the sounds. Not a wall of sound but a mix of instruments in which there is always something new to discover. Warm pianos and organs, soft drum parts, acoustic basses complemented by at most a few additional instruments for the ambience. And, of course, always the wonderful sound of the saxophone playing the lead part.

Good music has no expiration date and continues to sound fresh and innovative. Songs that are recognized around the world and of which everyone knows at least the melody. I like to play with those songs, which also evoke a feeling, and provide them with my own jazzy sound. That way old becomes new again and these songs remain refreshing to listen to.
